About the event
Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan - piano, Ruth O'Shea - violin and Linda Stocks - cello) play a monthly cafe concert on the last Friday of each month (except December) at 1pm at St John's Church Hall: informal community events with a pop-up café open from c12.15pm where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and home-made cakes, and enjoy live music. It’s c£3.50 for a drink and a cake.
February’s concert is a collection of music by women composers to mark International Women’s Day (8th March). The programme includes the Phantasy Trio by Irish composer Joan Trimble, and works by Rosalind Ellicott, Elfrida Andrée, Adela Maddison, Dora Pejacevic, Fanny Mendelssohn and Clara Schumann.
Concerts last c45mins and entrance - or rather, exit! - is by pay-what-you-feel donation, via a retiring collection. Refreshments - tea, coffee & home-made cakes - are available in the pop-up café 45 mins…
